This Gibson EB2D bass is in very good condition. We listed it as "very good" because of the neck repairs, but if not for that issue, it probably could be considered "excellent." The best we can determine, the bass is a 1968. The pots are clearly marked 1967, and the date ranges for the bass is 1966-1969. Also has the mini humbucker in bridge. It appears they only made 2000 of these with the mini humbuckers throughout the entire 60's. It has had the common repair where the headstock meets the neck, and there is the normal Gibson finish checking on most of the guitar. There is minimal fretwear for the age. Someone has applied a Texas sticker beside the logo, and there is a plaque on the pickguard which reads "Sweet Music by Don Corbin." You can also see where there had been a sticker applied to the pickguard which said "Don." We have removed the red stryofoam piece that was attached to the tuning key as shown in the photos of the full front of the guitar and the front of the headstock. All the electronics work, including the mute. Really nice bass!
